Curriculum vitæ

Jean-Michel Jottrand holds a law degree from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and has been a lawyer at the Brussels Bar since 1980.

He is one of the founders of the association “SCHMITZ, JOTTRAND, KLEES & GERNAY.”

He practices real estate law, construction law, public procurement law, property law, residential and commercial lease law, and more generally civil and commercial law.

He advises and represents architects, contractors, investors and real estate developers, private and public project owners, co-owners, real estate agents, and property managers in these areas.

He was a member of the Council of the French Bar of Brussels (2002-2005).

He served for three years as a board member of the Order of French- and German-speaking Bars (2007-2010).

He is a member of the law and judicial practice commission of avocats.be (Order of French- and German-speaking Bars).

Me Jottrand is the president of the Chamber of Conciliation, Arbitration, and Mediation in Real Estate Matters (CCAI). He is also a conciliator and arbitrator for the same chamber.

He mainly works in French and Dutch with Me Michaël Vanderhasselt.
